How you receive your tax refund will depend on what information you give the IRS. In general, most people either receive their tax refund via direct deposit into a bank account that they provide to the IRS at the time they file their tax return or via paper check to their address if they have not provided a bank account to the IRS for direct deposit.
If you need to update your information with the IRS, please visit www.irs.gov > File > Filing for Individuals > Update My Information.
To receive your tax refund into your Varo Bank Account, you will need to enter your Varo Bank Account number and routing number on your tax return. To find these numbers in the Varo App, click Move Money > Direct Deposit.

A tax refund may only be direct deposited into an account that is in your name. If a tax refund is directed to an account that is not in your name, it may be rejected and returned to the IRS. No more than three electronic refunds can be deposited into a single financial account or prepaid card. If you exceed this limit you will receive notice from the IRS and a paper check refund.
